How We Got Started

Here at Green Mountain Hammocks we get great joy in providing unique, top quality hammocks. It began many years ago when, on his first trip to Brazil, our founder Dave Heifetz lay down in a soft cotton hammock. He found such peace of mind in these comfortable and relaxing hammocks that he was shocked he'd never seen them in North America. He took it upon himself to distribute Brazilian style hammocks in the USA and Canada and Green Mountain Hammocks was born.
