Seagrass Baskets

Our Seagrass baskets are from Independence Village in northern Vietnam, where the seagrass grown along the banks of rivers and swampy areas makes incredibly strong, long-lasting baskets.

These water loving baskets won't lose their shape or colour, even when wet, and are very popular with women of all ages!

They are great for shopping, groceries, holding newspapers and magazines, towels in the bathroom, or storing household items. Outdoors is another popular spot for these Vietnamese treasures, and can be carried with you while weeding the garden, for carrying plants & tools, used as planters, or even for the cat to crawl into for a quick nap in the afternoon sun.

The choices are endless, and these baskets can be used almost anywhere!
To clean your basket just hose it down, or if it needs reshaping simply submerge your basket in lukewarm water for five minutes, remove it and mould it to your standards, then leave it in the sun to dry!
All our baskets are shipped flat, but can be quickly reshaped to achieve that desired "round" look.
